Awards/Prizes:
Saturday - $5,000 total cash purse for open men and
women. Prize money awarded to event winners.
Sunday - custom medals awarded to top finishers in each age group.
Sponsor prizes to be awarded to winners both days.
Category/age-groups:
Competition is open to men and women of all age-groups. Saturday: Junior (18 & under), Open, Senior (40 & over).
Sunday: 14 and under, 15-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39,
40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over. Biathlon
and 5K Beach Run: Clydesdale category available (men over 200 lbs.,
women over 160 lbs.)
Rules:
Event rules and point system will be posted event day. Wetsuits
not allowed in swimming events.
Entry fees per person:
Adult (16 & older) - $40/1day or $70/both days. Child (15 &
under) $25/day or $40/both days, 5K Only - $25 all ages. Enter as many events as you want.
Registered entrants receive commemorative T-shirt, swim cap and
competitors kit that includes product samples from event sponsors.
Event Registration:
Race registration begins at 7:00 am daily. Register online at active.com
The San Clemente Ocean Festival is a non-profit
organization in partnership with the City of San Clemente. Proceeds
from the San Clemente Ocean Festival help fund many worthy organizations
within the community and surrounding area. Scholarships are also
provided annually to local high schools.
