Grant Final Report

The San Clemente Ocean Festival's main focus is to provide a quality athletic and family event. However, our non-profit organization has been able to give back to the community since 1993.  The generosity and support of our sponsors, the revenue earned from merchandise sales, entry fees for athletic competitions, and proceeds from the Great Rubber Duck Race, have enabled the Ocean Festival to provide financial support for many worthwhile organizations in our community.  Some of these organizations include:  San Clemente Junior Lifeguard Program, San Clemente and State Lifeguards, Ocean Institute's Adopt-A-Class program that benefits San Clemente elementary school students, City of San Clemente Aquatics programs, Meals on Wheels, Boys & Girls Club and scholarships for local high school graduates.

Grants requests are generally accepted in the fall, reviewed and approved by early November and distributed in December or January.  Scholarship requests come directly from the high school and reviewed by our committee in the spring.
